Birds at Fairburn Ings

With the arrival of the New Year the weather has taken a turn for the better. A lack of rain is much appreciated and temperatures around 10° positively springlike. It won’t last but while it does it is very enjoyable. Here’s a few birds which are busy fattening themselves up for chillier times ahead.

  1. Hi John,

Love your bird pictures!!! Just wonder what lens you use for all these close up or are the birds not that shy in your part of the world that you can just use a standard 50mm lens?
    Keep on posting them!!!

      Hi Herman

Thanks for your comment. The lens I used was a 70-300mm Nikkor zoom with vibration reduction, hand held on a Nikon D7000. The images were heavily cropped. I find it a really super lens.
